South West Yacht Brokers Group in association with Dickies International offer the impressive Bénéteau and Silverton range of power boats.

Our History.
In 1993 we purchased an existing boat sales yard here in Plymouth and have never looked back. South West Yacht Brokers quickly became the number one venue for second hand craft in the area. In 1995 we expanded with acquisition of Fowey Yacht Brokers, Western Seacraft and more locally Plymouth Yacht Brokers.

During 2003 we became aware that our existing facilities were far too small for our customer requirements and we re-located to our current site at Yacht Haven Quay, this site boasts around 14 acres of quality boat storage facilities and operates the areas largest Dry Berthing operation. You will also find on-site our impressive fully under cover show room and commissioning facility.

Plymouth Yacht Brokers is our marina based site and is situated on Plymouth Yacht Haven marina. With dedicated sales pontoons, ashore storage and ample parking, its never been easier to get on board a Bénéteau.

With sea all around Plymouth and with family roots embedded in the Royal Navy, it was not difficult to develop a strong interest in boats. My first boat a cabin cruiser built in marine ply came complete with a Ford Zephyr six engine, this gave us lots of fun and the bug bit. I enjoy all aspects of being on the water from messing about in my Canadian Canoe to offshore cruising and racing.

Im Plymouth born and surrounded by water and boats. My parents, coming from Portsmouth have strong traditions in the boat building industry. My father completed a seven year apprenticeship at the famous Camper and Nicholson boat yard having worked on several of the J Class yachts. Our children love boats with our daughter being a RYA instructor in Power and Sail; no doubt you can say its in the family blood.

Coming from Nottinghamshire, which is about as far away from the sea as you can get in this country, it took me a while to get into a position where I could work in the marine industry. So I probably appreciate spending so much time around boats more than most.
I like to think Ive brought some relevant skills with me from my career in sales and marketing roles, primarily the importance of first class customer service. Today's Bénéteau customers are discerning and demanding, and rightly so. My aim is to exceed those expectations at every opportunity.
